ParticipantThank you for prematurely deciding that this is not an issue with your plugin and closing the thread. It most certainly is not a theme issue as your plugin does not work on three themes, Magazine, graphene and gabfire opinions how many more will I have to purchase to try out. All these themes will not display comments on pages that have widgets in the sidebars, disable the plugin and it works fine.

ParticipantMore on plugin problem!
Move the mini calendar widget to the right hand widget area and the comments show fine but whatever page/post you are on the widget picks it up and creates an event for today. If you turn the events to show to 0 it still creates and displays the event. Screenshots are in the dropbox. https://www.dropbox.com/s/b8ks0dsmg8rravt/Screenshot%202013-12-06%2011.21.06.png

MemberHi Peter.
I’m guessing you are referring to this thread. All I can really say is, we want to help and we even went so far as to obtain a copy of the theme and test it out for ourselves. Not being able to replicate the problem however makes it very difficult to assist.
I may also have misunderstood your comments, as it seemed to me that even with Graphene comments also worked for you at one point. Apologies if that was not in fact what you meant.
If you turn the events to show to 0 it still creates and displays the event. Screenshots are in the dropbox.
There is a bug with this widget that we hope to address in an upcoming maintenance release. You can try fixing it right now though if you set up a template override within your theme at:
tribe-events/pro/widgets/mini-calendar-widget.php
And place this code into that new file. There’s some good guidance on setting up template overrides (if you need more details on the process) within our Themer’s Guide.
Does that help at all with the second issue, at least?

ParticipantHi Barry
The calendar widget is the cause of all the other problems. Remove it and everything is fine. Weird thing was move it from the left hand widget area to the right hand area and ecpro worked fine other than it seems to be picking up the page/post details and creating an event for that day.
I shan’t be messing with the code unless the widget maintenance release is delayed for a while.December 7, 2013 at 12:33 pm #80667woodraf
ParticipantI have the same problem folks, and it’s a bigger and bigger problem with every day. 🙁

MemberPeter: I don’t expect there to be a very long delay before the next maintenance release arrives – so if you can wait out a little longer that’s great and, of course, you have the workaround proposed above to fall back upon if needs be.
Woodraf: sorry to hear that – as ever, feel free to observe and try out any fixes (like that posted in my last reply) but if you need further help please do create a new thread of your own.
Thanks!
