The See All hover box doesnt sort by date – rather by list sequence on event

When an event with recurrence is displayed on a list of events, it is possible to hover the text See All.

The displayed box doesn’t list the recurring events in date order, rather the sequence of the event dates on the event.

When clicking the See All, the resulting display of events are in fact sorted in date order.

How can I fix the See All display box display to be date sorted?

We apologize for a bit of delay in getting back to you. We are dealing with a high volume of threads at the moment and we are slowly getting back to normal response times.

By default, the instances for a recurring event in that tooltip are ordered in the same way they were created, so you could re-create the recurring settings for that event so that they show up in the order you like.

Hi Finn,

In order to change that, some custom coding would be required.

We are fairly limited in how much support we can give for custom development questions like that. But we always like helping out and at least point users into the right direction as much possible.

I’ve just had a look at the code and that text is generated by the tribe_get_recurrence_text() function located at /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/functions/template-tags/general.php

You can customize the output of this function by using the tribe_get_recurrence_text filter available.
