GuestI’ve been asked to bring a WordPress e-commerce site up to date, its plugins haven’t been updated for a long time. It uses several Events Calendar plugins, not all of which are still available. I know the “The Events Calendar: WooCommerce Tickets” has been replaced by “Event Tickets Plus,”, but which other plugins do I need to replace the current set? These are:-
The Events Calendar
The Events Calendar PRO
The Events Calendar Shortcode
The Events Calendar: WooCommerce TicketsCan we save money by buying the necessary plugins as a bundle?
Thanks in anticipation.January 16, 2017 at 2:14 pm #1219232Caroline
MemberHi John,
Thanks for getting in touch! It sounds like your needs here should be covered entirely by new licensing for Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus! The Events Calendar is our free core plugin and can be updated to its latest version from WordPress.org at any time, and The Events Calendar Shortcode is a third-party add-on that is not developed by Modern Tribe. (If you should need to replace this third-party plugin, you might consider taking a look at our own shortcodes offered through Events Calendar PRO!)
Unfortunately, we don’t offer any bundles for Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus at this time (excluding the Ultimate Bundle, which is likely more than what your project requires). However, you may be able to reduce the cost of new licensing by upgrading the client’s existing PRO license rather than purchasing a new one–upgraded licenses save 30% compared to the cost of buying new. We’d be happy to assist with looking up the original account so that these licenses can be brought up to date. Feel free to reach out to us via email if you’d like some assistance here!
I hope that helps to get you started! Thanks again for stopping by, and let us know if there’s anything else we can do for you!

GuestThank you, I’ll advise the client what they will need to buy. The original licences were bought by the web developer, so as I understand it these will not be transferable for an upgrade. I’ll also investigate what this shortcodes plugin is used for.

Sounds great–thanks for following up! I’m going to go ahead and close this thread out since you’ve marked it as resolved, but please don’t hesitate to open a new thread with us if there’s anything else we can do to assist! 🙂 Thank you!
