The Events Calendar select2 version conflicts with ACF Pro v5

The current version of The Events Calendar conflicts with Advanced Custom Fields Pro v5. ACF uses v4 of select2 library, while EC uses v3. The only way to resolve the issue is to dequeue the tribes version.

Are there any plans to update EC to use select2 v4? If not, can EC scope the version it is using to EC only, rather than being globally enqueued? It is very frustrating to have 2 great plugins that can’t work with each other.

Thanks for emailing support and sorry you are having issues with select2 conflicts. You are correct to dequeue the tribe version. In regards to updating our version to the latest version or scoping it to work with EC only is a great suggestion and I will pass it along to the devs.
