The Events Calendar has license field and notice for Event Aggregator

Sorry I missed the reply on this so the topic died and I can’t reopen.

Anyway the issue still pertains and I found it afflicts the free version on a clean install of WP (without other plugins);

Hey there

Sorry for the confusion.  You should’ve received an email containing a link to download Events Calendar Pro and the license key.

Can you go to My Account » Downloads and download the Events Calendar Pro plugin.  You’ll need to keep the free The Events Calendar plugin active as well.

Then get your license key, and go to Events » Settings » Licenses to enter it.

Event Aggregator does not actually have to be installed to see this license field that you see on your screen. It’s part of The Events Calendar, but just doesn’t add the features that require processing on our server without the license. No additional code is added or removed for EA with or without a license.
