    The calendar works before I add events. But not after.

    I’m using a theme called Divi from Elegant Themes.

    I set things up so it would display the “month” view by default. And it works fine and looks fine until I add one event.

    When I add one event, all of a sudden the \events\ URL (where I was seeing the monthly calendar display) .. no longer shows the month view. It only displays the single event information, and “nothing” more. Just the title, etc. I lose all of the search and other header items within The Events Calendar. It’s very very odd.

    I really don’t want to have to deactivate all of my plugins and/or change the theme just to simply test the calendar and see if I can get it working.

    I was curious if you know why this could be happening. Do you have any thoughts?

    But, the good news is that you are still welcome to consult this forum to your liking and browse it for solutions, snippets and tutorials.

    With that in mind, I believe the issue is caused by URL/slug conflict.

    If you go to Events -> Settings -> General , the URL for a single event and events (the full calendar) absolutely need to be different from one another.

    Furthermore, you cannot have a “real” page that uses that slug.
