That old recurring event bugaboo

So, the screaming wasn’t loud enough for an ability to post events that repeat irregularly or in different venues by simply copying the event containing the repeat information and images into a different time or locale. Too bad, I’m surprised more people wouldn’t find that useful. Still, thanks for all the hard work on the improvements you guys are providing!

Actually, this feature is available and covers 99% of all possible scenarios.
You will need our Pro add-on for this: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/

You are right on this one. Although this would make for an interesting feature, its popularity is not high for now.

That being said, the feature to be able to have certain recurring events have their own details is now on our long-term roadmap: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/6836617-option-on-recurring-events-which-allows-the-event

As you can imagine, we receive tons of feature requests and suggestions that are pretty awesome.
In fact, if you have not done so already, you might want to browse our User voice forums to see for yourself.

Because of that, we do have to prioritize by popularity and we are definitely trying to include these great ideas as fast as we can.

Geoff, thanks for the detailed, personal reply. Of course I already have Pro, I wouldn’t dream of complaining or suggesting if I were still freeloading.

It’s easy for me to say because I’m not a developer, but it FEELS as though it would be easy to add “every other/second/third month” to the recurring event menu. That way events that move around could be spaced through the year.

Just a thought.
