ParticipantHi, I have a some questions. When you say to create an “events” folder in your theme directory, do you create the directory in the root folder or in the theme name folder. I am running the headway theme so, would It be
themes/headway/events/
or would it be
themes/events/
Secondly, I have followed the instructions in the tutorial on how to add an image to the pro events widget and nothing is appearing.
PS: Site is under development.

MemberHi Keith – the events directory should be within your actual theme, so:
themes/headway/events/
Regarding adding an image to the pro events widget, it’s difficult to know what might have gone wrong without being able to see either the URL or the code that you put together.
Even if the site is inaccessible, can you share code via Gist or Pastebin?

ParticipantHi Barry,
You can see the code here: – http://pastebin.com/svrNU9AD
I put the site live temporarily – and you can view the latest events if you scroll down …I have to edit the page template files for the events and calendar, however all seems to be working ok otherwise..apart from the images on the home page widget.

MemberHi Keith: just to make sure we’re on the same track here, which tutorial were you reading – also, can you confirm which file this code http://pastebin.com/svrNU9AD belongs to (and where it is in the directory system – ie, within the plugin directory or within your theme’s events subdirectory)?
Thanks!

ParticipantHI,
I was using this as my basis:
https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-show-featured-thumbnails-in-the-next-events-widget/The events directory is now in themes/headway/events
The file is in widget-featured-display.php in the events directory.

Participantok, now I feel kind of stupid… I just activated the basic upcomming events widget and its showing the image…so I guess my question is, which file do I edit to get the pro events widget to show the image?

MemberNot at all, not all of the template files are named as intuitive as they might be. If I’m understanding you correctly, I think the template you are hoping to customize is:
events-advanced-list-load-widget-display.php
Does that help here?
