    Hello,

    I’m Valentina, from VCUBE Srl.
We’re choosing theme and plugins for a customer who manages a cinema-theater.
I’ve seen “events calendar pro” in the Avada church demo, but I have some question about it in pre sale:

    – are the upcoming events divisible for categories? I mean, can I display the upcoming “cinema” events only in a space and the upcoming “theater” events in an another one?

    – can I set a sidebar in the website with the events categories in it?

    – the extended calendar in the pro version gives the permission of including images?
    (example: http://theme-fusion.com/wp-content/uploads/gravity_forms/6-aa5aace7614f5326eda96d696d012497/2016/08/[email protected] )

    – can I set the list view as in this site? http://www.cinemateatroboiardo.com/category/stagione-teatrale-2014-2015/

    – can I set the appearance of the event like this: http://avada.theme-fusion.com/church/event/faith-conference/? from which section can I do that?

    Thanking you in advance,

    Valentina

    Hey Valentina,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’ll try to get all your questions above answered here.

    1. You can view a calendar of just events within a specific category, for example this link http://wpshindig.com/events/category/wp-meetups/ shows just the events in the WP Meetups category
    2. We don’t have that built in, however you can easily use other widgets or custom code to show a sidebar of event categories. If you want to have the categories linked on the calendar page, you could use a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-category-colors/ which has that built in
    3. That isn’t available by default within the plugin. That would require a little bit of custom development
    4. That view looks like a default blog view for that theme rather than a calendar view. However, you could do a little customization to accomplish something like this.
    5. That is a view completely controlled by the theme. However, if you’re purchasing and using that theme you should be able to use it and any support related to that particular customization can be found with the theme provider.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

Thank you for your kind answer!
I just need an explanation, the Avada team told me to ask directly to you…I need to differentiate the “upcoming events” section, the one you see here: http://avada.theme-fusion.com/church/ I know they are using the events calendar pro plugin and I need to know if I can display “theater upcoming events” “cinema upcoming events” and so on

    Thank you again,

    Valentina

    Hey Valentina,

    Thanks for following up here.

If I’m understanding correctly, you can see an example of these types of listings utilizing the event categories within the demo.

For example, here are events assigned to their “Community” category http://avada.theme-fusion.com/church/events/category/community/

And here are events assigned to their “Food” category http://avada.theme-fusion.com/church/events/category/food/

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!
