Just wanted to make the developers aware of a function conflict between TEC and the Simple:Press forum plugin. The developers of the forum plugin mentioned this was an issue in the past but was resolved some time ago. It seems to have resurfaced now.

Here’s what’s happening: when I try to activate S:P while TEC is already active I get the following error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare sp_get_option() in wp-content/plugins/simple-press/sp-api/sp-api-primitives.php on line 81

When I deactivate TEC I am able to activate S:P. Afterwards I can also activate TEC without any further issues. But I am concerned that this conflict will manifest itself otherwise.

    Howdy,

Thank you for reporting this. You have activated the plugins in the correct order and should be in good sorts going forward. Upon activation our plugin checks to see if there there is a conflict and resolves it. Unfortunately the S:P plugin does not check for conflicts. So if S:P is activated second it will generate an error. Only S:P would be able to detect/handle that error.

Does that make sense? Definitely let us know if you experience any issues resulting from this, but now that you have activated it in the right order you should be fine.
