ParticipantI am not a developer but am in charge of my organization’s website. I am having several issues with your plugin.
1. I cannot find a simple way to hid the tags from the event post. I have searched the forum and it seems that i need to modify the theme. Has a simpler setting option been created yet to simply disable the tags? It seems like that would be a beneficial function for your plugin and make it more user-friendly.
2. I can no longer override the featured image to either resize nor hide if from the event page. It shows up properly in the event list, but when I attempt to override the size setting using your fields it will not apply. If I try to hid the image so I can manually insert a smaller one, that does not work either.
3. Finally, I use Download Manager for documents and after I installed it I am now getting a glitch in my community events timezone dropdown. I ran a test by deactivating all my plugins and discovered that events calendar doesn’t properly when download manager is on. Download Manager works fine on it’s own. I’ve submitted a ticket about this in the past and was told that you were unable to get in touch with the developers of download manager to resolve the problem. I am wondering if any progress has been made here.

ParticipantHey Susan,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
- You can accomplish this by following our Themer’s Guide. You can remove them by finding the modules > meta > details.php file and copying into the proper location within your theme and removing the entire “tribe_meta_event_tags” function from that file. I can definitely understand some of the hesitation with approaching customizations in this way. If you would like, you can reach out on our UserVoice page to vote for simpler customization options. In the past we have steered away from this due to the potential Pandora’s Box that could be open here and determining where to stop with the options.
- You can also follow the same steps above, however this time you’ll want the single-event.php file. There you’ll be able to modify the image size on the single or remove it completely.
- As far as I can see, we haven’t heard back from the developers there. I know we have taken a few general steps that have helped with other incompatibility issues with that plugin in the past. However, this is a new issue that I can see here. The only advice I can give would be to reiterate what Geoff mentioned in your previous about reaching out on our UserVoice page.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
