Switching month is not working

Hi,

We have been using the plugin for 5 months now, it was working before and suddenly it stops functioning. Events Calendar doesn’t switch months when clicking on June and trying to move forward/backward.

Hi John,

I can see a Javascript error when I try to navigate forwards/backwards on your calendar – this is typically caused by a conflict with other code. Although you may not have updated The Events Calendar perhaps this arose from an update to your theme or another plugin?

If you could try running through our standard troubleshooting steps that would be great:

• Please ensure that your Modern Tribe plugins are up-to-date and in-synch … for instance if you are using The Events Calendar 2.0.11 you must also use Events Calendar PRO 2.0.11
• Deactivate all other plugins and change your theme to a default, unmodified one such as Twenty Eleven or Twenty Twelve
• Now test to see if the problem still exists
• If the problem has been solved by these steps, start reactivating everything one-at-a-time, testing at each point to see if the issue has returned
• If the issue does return, take note of whichever plugin (or theme) you reactivated immediately before it started again – it’s likely there is a conflict with this item

Hi John,

I appreciate where you are coming from but that tends to suggest the conflict is with your theme. I did dig into this a little further though and what I found was the jQuery – which is a library of Javascript code – is being loaded twice.

Loading jQuery twice is likely to cause problems in any case – but a particular problem here is that the version being loaded by your theme is really quite an old version in internet years (v1.4.2 – which lives in themes/smoothpro-standard-v1.4/facebox/lib/jquery.js).

The Events Calendar on the other hand (and many other plugins) expect the more recent version of jQuery that ships with WordPress as standard. We summarized this problem in this thread – sadly there isn’t a lot we can do about it except suggest you take this problem to your theme vendor.
