We have recently switched from PHP 5.5 to 7 and are using PHP FPM and our Event Calendar, Event Calendar Pro and Filter Bar are all updated for WP 4.8.1. (using 4.5.10, 4.4.15, 4.5 respectively)

We are experiencing site issues (have been for over a week) with load, crashes and various errors and this seems to be connected to the calendar plugin. I have included some info. from our server provider below.

The other tech that I spoke with looked at some of the FPM processes that were running while he edited a post (he added a period, which was then removed.) What we saw was:

access(“/home/susanpiv/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/Events/Pro/Recurrence/Queries.php”, F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)

access(“/home/susanpiv/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/events/pro/shortcodes/register.php”, F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
Now this is just a small selection, but the most recurrent theme in the trace of the process was “(No such file or directory)” in the events calendar, and events calendar pro plugins. Pages full of this scrolled by.

For the above errors, the “Recurrence” and “pro” directories do not exist on the server. Our working theory is that the constant calls for those scripts are what’s bogging the server down with the high-CPU processes.

If someone would advise asap as our site is a member site and we have paying members who’ve been unable to access some material on and off for a week.

    Thanks, Michele

    Hi Susan,

Is it possible to use non-FPM? Would that solve it?

The directory quoted in the error messages doesn’t exist, so I’m not quite sure how that got generated. Could you send a full or a bigger log from where you got those lines?

    Thanks,
    Andras

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
