We are currently using simple calendar but I have been struggling with the requirements for rich data and structured data for Google. The existing plugin allows us to realtime add events via Google Calendar without interaction on the WP site. Can you provide any info that would convince me this plugin can handle those aspects better?

    Hi there,

Thanks for emailing support. The closest thing we have is event aggregator and can be set to automatically import new events every 30 minutes.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks,
    Brendan

How does Events Calendar handle the rich data and leaf requirements from Google?

    Hi there,

We use JSON for Linking Data in relation to events.  You can see how our demo site turns up in Google Structured Data Testing Tool results. https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/#url=http%3A%2F%2Fwpshindig.com%2Fevents%2F

I would recommend incorporating https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-schemaorg-rich-snippets/ into your site for further schema markup as needed.

    Thanks,
    Brendan

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
