Suggestion: Calendar and Events option

Hey there,

I have used the events calendar quite a lot in the past and always the same problem seems to pop up. Witch is the templates used. The main problem is that the calendar looks really well when it’s fullwidth but that’s not good in the actual event page since it’s good to have the sidebar showing also witch can have phone numbers or other events.

Currently there is only one option in the settings where you can choose the layout for the whole calendar. What would be really good and solve a lot of problems would be to have just another checkbox where you can choose another another page type for the event and another one for the events. This would make implementing the Events Calendar 10x faster than it’s currently taking and would benefit quite a lot of new folks that don’t have the technical knowledge to do so.

I’m not sure if this has been suggested in the past already but would be really awesome feature to have.

Little clarification: I meant dropdown not checkbox 🙂

Thanks for the suggestion. I can see how that would be useful.

We are finally working on developing shortcodes for the main views so that could be a way to embed the views in a page and choose a layout per your theme settings.
