Hello!!! I read through what I could find on the subscription aspect of your plugin and I am not sure if you have what I’m looking for…I have a couple questions!

    1. I need people to be able to subscribe to my calendar for a small fee and ONLY ACCESS if you and pay…no one else should be able to access it! I figured they would just only see my calendar on my website…but then I read that others said they can access my calendar on their own computers and every time I add something it will update on theirs! My question is…which is it can they have it on their computer too or will they just see it on my website. Either way is fine to me!

    2. Each year I will start a NEW CALENDAR…it will be an ongoing live/interactive calendar that they can follow along with me daily, weekly, and monthly, ask questions, and get alerts when I post my info and youtube videos on this calendar…but I want them to still be able to access old calendars…is that possible?

    3. And last can the subscription be ongoing for the next calendar or will they need to subscribe again for each calendar?

    Hi Michele,

Thanks so much for stopping by–glad to hear that you’re considering our plugins for your site setup! I’d be more than glad to answer any questions you might have here!

    1. While we don’t offer built-in support for creating subscription-based calendars, this Knowledgebase article provides some information on how to set up a “members-only” calendar on your site. Paired with a third-party payment/subscription plugin, this could be a viable option for your intended setup! Your complete calendar will be viewable only on your website, although users will have the option of downloading events to their computers and importing them into their own calendar software.
    2. If you’d like to maintain separate calendars by year, you can use category functionality to achieve this easily while still keeping a “master” calendar for viewing all events. You can see an example of a category calendar view here on our demo site, WP Shindig. We don’t support calendar alerts such as email or SMS, but we do offer an RSS feed for calendar events so that users can subscribe using their reader or notification method of choice!
    3. As subscriptions would need to be handled by a third party, this would depend on the plugin you choose–we don’t include built-in support for subscription-based calendars at this time.

I hope this helps to get you started here! Let us know if you should have any other questions, and thanks again for stopping by!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
