Good afternoon. I need to know how to subscribe to the calendar. I see the export events button, but I thought that was only the events that are currently there. I need a feed that continually updates itself as events are added. Also, I need the calendar feed to send notifications to my device before the events. Please advise.

    Hi Antwann!

Thanks for reaching out to us! Let me help you with this topic.

You can subscribe to your event RSS feed instead of using the Export functionality of your calendar. Let me point you to the following article that explains how RSS feed works for your events > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/events-rss-feed/

I need the calendar feed to send notifications to my device before the events

Unfortunately, there is no built-in functionality in our plugins to achieve this, but let me point you to the following thread where Geoff suggests a couple of interesting plugins you could use to accomplish a similar functionality > https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/events-notification/

I hope that helps. Let me know if any follow up questions 🙂

    Best,
    Victor

I tried that but it will not give me an option to paste a rss feed into my device, I am trying on both android and IOS . Is the only way to subscribe to the calendar through rss?Maybe I need step by step instructions, because I cant seem to get it to work

    Hi Antwann!

Thanks for following up with this.

I think the only way would be to import events into your iOS device using the iCal feed, with the export button > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/exporting-events/

But like you said before, that will not keep the events in sync in case of any changes. Unfortunately, syncing events is not currently a supported feature of The Events Calendar.

Is there anything else I can help you with? 🙂

    Best,
    Victor
