Michael
GuestI have a client with an existing concrete5 CMS website that uses event calendar plugin which works a certain way. I am rebuilding the site in WordPress and need an event calendar plugin that needs to work in a similar way as outlined below…
1. On the Event page (or any page) there is a link saying “submit an event”, which when clicked takes the viewer to the event submission form. Please note that anyone can submit an event since the link is publicly available.
2. Once the event information has been submitted, the person goes to a thank you page saying their event is under review, while my client receives an email notification displaying the submitted event information with a clickable link that if clicked, approves the event, which then displays the event publicly in the event calendar.
Does your plugin do this?

MemberHi Michael
Our Community Events plugin sounds like what you are looking for. You will still need to add your own link to the page for submitting events, but it’s a pretty easy process to place that info in the Events ยป Settings ยป Display ยป Add HTML before event content settings.
To use Community Events, you must first install The Events Calendar.
Does this help? Is there anything else I can answer for you?
Thanks

GuestThanks Courtney.
1. Just to confirm that I’ve read the Community Events description correctly (on your site)… a person doesn’t need to be a user with an account, and doesn’t need to be signed-in to submit an event. Correct?
2. I assume you are confirming that my client will receive an email with the event information displayed and can approve the event from the email… without having to sign-in to the site, go to the dashboard and then approve. Correct?
3. I assume the Community Events plugin not only works with the Events Calendar, but also with the Events Calendar Pro. Correct?

MemberHi Michael
1. Correct, you can have the event submission be open to any website visitor if you want.
2. Out of the box, no, our plugin cannot perform email approval for events. This could be done with some customizations. We limit our customization services to when our customer support needs are lighter, but may be able to help with this.
3. Correct, Community Events works with The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro.
Thanks
