styling links in list widget

I have read every document, created every .css file and uploaded it to the correct directories, and i cannot for the life of me seem to figure out a way to ditch the drop-shadow and change the color of the links in the events list widget. I’ve got a decent handle on CSS and this is for some bizarre reason escaping me. Any direction you can provide on how to simply change the link colors (and remove the white dropshadow) in the widget would massively appreciated! Thank you!
