Styling Header (Search, Date, Button, View)

Hi,
after searching the forum, I found following entry to change the css so that the header fits into my theme. I found following css.styling:

.tribe-events-month-nav select {
float: left;
min-width: 90px !important;
width: 90px !important;
}

.tribe-events-month-nav > span {
float: left;
}

..did it into the new folder on the server:
../themes/Karma/tribe-events/pro/tribe-events-pro.css
but nothing happens. I did use the standart WP-page not the standard events page.
What do I have to do, that the header fits into my template?

Does switching to the Default Events Template resolve this?
