ParticipantI’m looking for options on how to style embed event embeds in pages. I just learned that embeds can be created by simply pasting the event’s permalink, which is awesome, but the way it embeds isn’t ideal in my use case. See the screenshot below.
Is there a way to opt to display the event image on the left and the text details on the right, more like is shown here?https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/inserting-calendar-content-posts-pages/
Also, in the attached screenshot, where can I replace the WordPress logo at the bottom with a custom logo? I can’t find that setting anywhere.

ParticipantSusan,
While a little of the styling comes from The Events Calendar, mainly around the event details. The majority comes from WordPress’ own wp-embed CSS. To see this, try and embed a link to a regular post on a page or somewhere on your site. You will see that it looks pretty much the same as an event embed. With that, you will need to add some custom CSS to achieve what you desire.
Here’s a great article on WordPress auto embedding of links and some styling suggestions as a starting point.
As for the icon/logo, it too is customized through WordPress. You will need to set a “Site Icon”. In WordPress head over to Dashboard->Appearance->Customize and then click on “Site identity”. You will see the option to upload your site icon there. If you don’t see the Site Identity option, your theme may be overriding it.
Hope this helps.

MemberHi Susan
@mathewlewis definitely has the right answer on this (Thanks!). The way that WordPress embeds any part of itself really determines the styling. I’d still love to see how you make out with this customization though. Please share if you carry this out. Thanks

ParticipantThanks a million, @mathewlewis and @courtney. It’s embarrassing that I couldn’t find that site icon. I thought I looked through the whole customizer, but obviously not!
And that article looks like its just what I needed. I’m going to go dig in!
Thanks again have, to both of you, have a great weekend!
