ParticipantFirst of all, I would like the “thumbnail” for the event to be clickable– when the user mouses over the thumbnail they see the words click here but it isn’t clickable. Second, the event post itself has huge text that lays over the image and I want to fix that.

Help is much appreciated.

KeymasterHi Karen,
Thanks for reaching out!
I see that you’re using the Avada theme, which adds its own templates and styling to our plugins. As a first step, I would recommend taking a look at this article, which has some tips for using The Events Calendar with Avada. If you aren’t able to make these changes within the settings, then you would need to do a template override (this will be necessary for linking the image).
Our themer’s guide has some instructions on doing template overrides. With Avada, you’ll want to copy the templates from the tribe-events folder within the theme instead of from within our plugins.
We are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but if you get stuck or have any questions, please let me know – I’ll be happy to try to point you in the right direction!
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantHello- I am actually defaulting to the Tribe Events Styles in the display settings. Does that make a difference in what you commented?

KeymasterHi Karen,
Even with the default styles set, Avada does template overrides for our events pages, which bypass the default templates. Either way, you would need to do a template override to add a link to the image.
For the text, if you can’t find anywhere to change this in the settings, then you will need to add some CSS…you can use the following to change the font size:
.single-tribe_events .fusion-events-featured-image .recurringinfo .event-is-recurring {
font-size: 20px;

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
