I currently have about 60+ events and increasingly students are wanting to either cancel their registration and/or move their registration from one date to another. The cost is $0.00 so there is no financial issue, however it’s difficult to keep up with all of the phone calls and emails asking for changes.Ideally, the system would allow for students to login and and move/cancel their registration. Is this possible?
I guess the backup option is to find a way to put text in the order/ticket email that if they want to change/cancel to have them register for the new time and forward the tickets email to me, so that at least all the requests are coming to me in one format and makes it easier for me to know exactly what class to open up to delete the user.

Thanks for reaching out! Are you referring to RSVPs? If so, then users<i> </i>should be able to edit their info on the front end by default, provided that you have the “Require users to log in before they purchase tickets” option checked under Events > Settings > Tickets and that the user is logged into their account when they try to edit this info. See this article for more info. This does not let them move their ticket to another event/date however; you would need to do this from the backend.
If you would like to edit the ticket email, you can add this text in by doing a template override. Our themer’s guide has instructions on doing this, and the template you’ll want to copy and edit can be found at wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.php. We also recently did a webinar on doing template overrides that might help you out with this.
We are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but if you get stuck or have any questions, please let me know – I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction!
