Strange behavior of sidebars

Hello there,

I am using the free version of events calendar. I also use the “Custom Sidebars – Dynamic Widget Area Manager” to define which sidebars should be used where. I can set the options to show a sidebar on event-pages as well as event archives and event category archives – but ….

… there are some issues to it and I am trying to figure out, what exactly it is. One symptom is, that it does not work when a category is displayed. Now I am wondering: I do have a german version and the link has this format:

https://smysite/kategorie/title_of_category/

Please note, that in the URL the german word “kategorie” is used. On blog pages of my site it would be “category”. I wonder if that could be the reason, why I am having trouble?

Is there a way to change the way these links are created, namely to change the word kategorie to category?

There is another problem, when there is no new event. Then it will also not show the correct sidebar. And I have no clue what that could be …. But if you could help me with the “category” – that would already be amazing!

To get you started, you might be able to translate the slugs in the .po translation files which are under the-events-calendar/lang.
