    Hi there,

I’m having an issue with stock not reducing when orders are added from the back end.
The product details are as follows:
    1. Product is free.
    2. I have tried this with Woocommerce tickets and as an RSVP.

The process I’ve used is as follows (after switching to Twenty Fourteen and disabling all plugins except TEC and Woocommerce).

    1. Woocommerce -> Add Order.
    2. Fill out order details. Doesn’t matter if I use processing, pending payment, or completed.
    3. Add Product and Amount.
    4. Create order.
    5. If the I selected, processing or pending payment, then I go into Woocommerce and mark the order completed.

After going through this process, the stock remains the same. I’ve also tried order more than one product at a time, and there is still no change to the remaining stock.

    Thanks,
    Craig

    Hello Craig,

Thanks for getting in touch. That’s an awesome question you have there. I can help you clarify this.

When adding a manual order in WooCommerce, even with non-ticket products, the stock is not adjusted / decreased automatically. You will need to do that manually. Fortunately it is fairly easy to do.

Once you added the product to the order, then click on the product. This will reveal 3 buttons: Delete, Reduce Stock, Increase Stock.

Click on Reduce Stock and if stock management for the product is enabled (it has stock), then it will be reduced.

I created a short video for you as well, you can check it here.

Hope this helps. Let me know.

    Cheers,
    Andras

Yeah, that’s a tricky one. 🙂 It also took me quite some time when I needed it the first time. And this current way has been only introduced with WooCommerce 3.0 I believe.

Anyway, glad to hear it helped.

Since this is marked resolved I am going to close this ticket, but if you need anything else related to this topic or another please post a new topic in the forum and we will help you out.

    Cheers,
    Andras
