    Hi

We take quite a few orders over the phone and we just manually take these orders and process through woocommerce. However, when we process an order for a ticket it doesn’t appear to amend the stock levels for that event.

    any help appreciated.

    Hi Matthew,

When you create these orders manually, do you leave their payments “pending” or something other than “complete”?

If so, then what happens once you make the orders “complete” and confirm that there are no pending payments for that order?

Hi, yep we mark them as complete right away as payment will already have been taken.

Just tested this again and it doesn’t matter if it is marked as complete right away or if i save it as pending or processing first and then mark as complete, still doesn’t reduce stock levels.

Thanks for elaborating on this a bit, @Mathew. The behavior you describe is part of a bug that we recognized and have fixed for the next release—this release should be coming this week or next week, if all goes to plan.

I would recommend staying tuned for version 4.1.1 of our plugins to come out; when those are available, update to that version and see if these issues persist.

    Thank you!

Hi, I just updated all the plugins and the above issue is still happening. Was a fix for this included in this update?

    Thanks

    Hey Matthew,

A fix was meant to be here; can you share your system information again? Just so I can see a snapshot of the exact environment here after updating? (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/)

Thank you so much for your patience; I’m sorry for the trouble here!

    I appreciate this information!

Since your plugins are up-to-date, this could be a bug with our code; however, I also know that we let the eCommerce plugin itself, WooCommerce, handle stock. So this behavior may be the “default”/correct behavior according to the plugin.

I will investigate this and report back about the nature of that behavior.

    Sincerely,
    George

Hi George, any news on this one yet?

    Thanks

    Hey Matthew,

I am sorry for the lack of news on this—the only thing I have worth noting here is that we have confirmed a bug and are working on it. This is not correct behavior:

Just tested this again and it doesn’t matter if it is marked as complete right away or if i save it as pending or processing first and then mark as complete, still doesn’t reduce stock levels.

The fact that stock doesn’t get affected if the order is “pending” or something is by design from inside WooCommerce. But once the order is changed to “Complete”, it should lead to an update in the stock/quantity….

I’m sorry for the pace of this, Matthew—but we’re actively working on this!

    Hey Mathew,

The last maintenance release we published is documented here, and I can confirm that this is the extent of the fixes included in that release → https://theeventscalendar.com/release-the-events-calendar-4-1-2-and-premium-plugins/

So, as you can see, this specific issue is not addressed there. It’s still in progress.

    Thank you for your patience!
