ParticipantHi there
Why are we not able to modify a stock after a Event is published?
Greetings

ParticipantHey Brian,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I just created some events to test this, and I’m able to modify ticket stocks after the event is published in both WooCommerce Tickets and in Easy Digital Downloads Tickets.
Can you elaborate a bit on your issues here? What exactly are you finding? Further, can you list each of the following details in the order they appear?
1. What version of WordPress are you running?
2. What version of The Events Calendar are you running?
3. What version of Easy Digital Downloads are you running?
4. What version of EDD Tickets are you running?Basically just a list of version numbers that are active on your site 🙂 But it’s more useful than it seems!
Thanks Brian, cheers!

That would be:
1. What version of WordPress are you running?
4.1.5
2. What version of The Events Calendar are you running?
3.9
3. What version of Easy Digital Downloads are you running?
2.2.9
4. What version of EDD Tickets are you running?
3.9Thanks 🙂

ParticipantHey Brian,
Thanks for the info!
Before any further troubleshooting here, I’d recommend updating The Events Calendar to its latest version (3.10.2) and EDD Tickets to its latest version as well (3.10). Head to https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/ for EDD tickets, and wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar for The Events Calendar.
Let us know what you find after updating!
Thank you 🙂

ParticipantGeorge, as it is a Productive Site, this isnt that easy and has to be coordinated with our costumers.
Any chance to replicate this with my Version?July 15, 2015 at 8:19 am #986622George
ParticipantHey Brian,
I cannot replicate these problems, and unfortunately if the problems were once we could recreate in these older versions of the plugin, the recommendation would then still just be to update to the most recent versions.
I’m curious why you think updating will be problematic for your customers? If anything, only outdated versions of plugins themselves will break and cause problems. The new versions have a good amount of improvements to them.
If you make a backup of your site, then update these two plugins, there should not be problems – if there are, then restore your backup and let us know exactly what happened, if this is possible…let us know if it is!
Thank you for your patience with this issue,

ParticipantHi George
We got 12 Plugins + 4 Plugins from our Themedeveloper. We not just have to backup the Site and Update, we also have check if all work well together and test the hole site after updating. So we need to inform our Client when we will Update, just in Case..
But if you say we have to Update to get the Problem well check a date when the big visiting time of the Website is over. thanks

ParticipantThank you for elaborating on your situation @websource – I hope my comments didn’t come off as a lack of respect for the difficulties of upgrading stuff on your/your client’s site. I have a few client sites of my own and it can be time-consuming, but upgrading is the right step here.
Take your time on this and just drop by any time you’re able to upgrade, and let us know how it goes! (If the automatic Support Droid closes your thread prematurely, just open a new one any time and link back to this thread for reference/continuity).
