Kathleen
ParticipantHi, I recently installed the hotfix. Now the start and end dates for all my recurring events (and there are a lot of them!) have defaulted to 12/7/2013. When I go in and fix the start and end dates and update it, it changes the “no” to a “yes” in the recurring event column. However, when I go back in to that same event, the default date is back. I’m also missing the start and end date columns. When I select them from the pulldown menu, nothing happens. I’m not sure if either of these two issues are related. Any ideas?

ParticipantHi Kathleen,
This is very strange behavior indeed. Is this just happening in the administration or are you seeing it on the front-end as well? It sounds like you might have some issues with either your WordPress installation or a conflict with your theme or another plugin. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins and/or reverting to the Twenty Eleven/Twelve theme to see if that changes anything?
Would you be willing to provide me with WP-admin access so I can see for myself what’s going on? You can email to pro [at] tri [dot] be and attn. to me.
Thanks,
JonahJanuary 15, 2013 at 12:34 pm #30895Kathleen
ParticipantHi Jonah,
I will send you an email right now.

ParticipantThanks for the email Kathleen. I just updated that event and saw how it deleted all the other instances and now none of them show on the calendar which is strange. Can you try this possible fix:
Replace your copy of /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/resources/events-admin.js with this one http://cl.ly/code/1v382M03033d (make a backup first just in case).
Let me know if that helps.

ParticipantHi Jonah,
We did what you suggested above and it did not work. I noticed that the start and end date on all my recurring events is the “end on” date. You can go in there and take a look yourself. I changed the “end on” date for the first listing and fixed the start and end dates and updated it. When I went back in to edit it, both the start and end dates changed to the “end on” date. Any other ideas on how to fix this?January 16, 2013 at 9:07 am #30958Jonah
ParticipantHi Kathleen,
It doesn’t look like the patch is in place. Are you sure you copied the right file?

ParticipantThere was a permissions issue. We got it worked out and it looks like it did the trick! Thanks for all your help!
