GuestHi’,
I’m looking for a ticketing plugin that can do the following:
– Be translatable into two languages with the default language being german
– Can list multiple ticket types for two events that are spread over two days but are at different times of the year (one event in feb one in october)
– Can deal with the event recurring every year (there’s something about the PRO not dealing with recurring events?)
– Can utilise two different currencies, one in £ and one in €
– Is mobile optimisedCan your plugin do these things?
ThanksSeptember 13, 2017 at 12:38 pm #1348814Jennifer
KeymasterHello,
Thanks for checking out our plugins!
– Be translatable into two languages with the default language being german
Our plugins do come with built-in translations, and we have some support for WPML (with The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro – note that Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus do not yet have support for WPML).
I would recommend taking a look at the following articles:
Translating the Events Calendar
How to Override Plugin Language Files
Setting Up The Events Calendar with WPML
– Can list multiple ticket types for two events that are spread over two days but are at different times of the year (one event in feb one in october)
It is possible to have events span multiple (consecutive) days, and you can add multiple ticket types to any event. To have one date in February and one in October, you would need to create two separate events (one for each date) and then add the tickets onto each event.
You could also use a recurring event to have the event repeat in October, but keep in mind that if you add tickets to a recurring event, every event in the series will have the exact same ticket. So if you had an event in February that recurred in October and added a ticket to the event, it would be the very same ticket for both dates.
– Can deal with the event recurring every year (there’s something about the PRO not dealing with recurring events?)
Recurring events are a feature of Events Calendar Pro, and having them recur yearly is no problem! There is actually a variety of recurrence rules that you can set up, and you can add multiple rules to a recurring event. I took a screenshot of the edit screen for you so that you can see how this looks on the back end.
– Can utilise two different currencies, one in £ and one in €
Event Tickets Plus actually uses either WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads to handle the checkout process, so currency functionality would really be handled more at that level.
I would recommend taking a look at this article regarding WooCommerce and using multiple currencies. Currently, the plugin will only display the price in one currency at a time.
– Is mobile optimised
The events pages are optimized for mobile! You can also make some adjustments in the settings to how much the events pages inherit styling from your theme.
If you have any other questions, please let me know!
Thanks,
Jennifer

GuestA couple of question about the TICKET PRO
* Handle multiple currency
* Can we add tax (GST) for each ticket
* Anyway to customize the ticket

KeymasterHi Tom,
Thanks for reaching out! Currency and tax functionality is actually handled through either WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads instead of from within Event Tickets Plus itself. I would recommend taking a look at this article from WooCommerce on using multiple currencies, and this one regarding setting up taxes in WooCommerce. You can configure multiple taxes within Woo, so you can create a GST tax.
You can customize the ticket template by following the instructions in our themer’s guide.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to open up a new thread, and we’ll be happy to help you out over there!
Thanks,
Jennifer
