While using Eventbrite calendar plugin when a user passes the Eventbrite ID from the Events > Import:Eventbrite the original event in Eventbrite gets amended too.
For eg. If my the Eventrbrite original title was Dolce & Gabana UK: Training Course/Meet
    then
after the import the Eventbrite ticket title gets converted to: Dolce;am=&;134Gabana UK$*356Training Course8&%34Meet

Further, anywhere in event description for example if there is a venue field that contains special characters then it appears with junk characters. FYI…we have set the events to automatically get published rather than stay in draft state. This action happens after we manually update the WordPress event by going to edit event.

This is painful for the event admins to edit every time. Finally 3 more questions:
    1. Is there any way to move the eventbrite ticket information section to higher up in the event page?
    2. The Google map does not display in event description page in WordPress.
    3. The Excerpt section does not display only first 2 lines but the All Events page displays full description which makes it look very odd.

    Hey Louise,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

This definitely sounds like a strange issue to be having. To clarify, after importing from Eventbrite into WordPress, the special characters get changed in Eventbrite (for the event title at Eventbrite.com not the title within WordPress dashboard)?

    1. We have a great tutorial to help with this here https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-the-eventbrite-tickets-box/
    2. This is strange. Have you verified that the map is set to display on the event as well as the venue? If not, are there any javascript errors that reference the map when using the developer tools within your browser?
    3. This is strange, does the issue persist when switching to a default theme?

    Thanks!
