SPAM Ads Appearing in my Calendar

On every month except the current month, the first day of the month is a spam ad. When you click on the ad, it gives a 404. I cannot find any entry where the spam originates. I do not have any other security issues on the rest of my WordPress installation.

Hi,

Sorry for the issues you are having.

I took a look at your site and see a script causing the issue.

I am not sure how it got there, but it is not apart of our plugin.

It maybe only happening on Event Pages, because someone placed them in the plugin or a template.

I would try deleting and reinstalling the Events Calendar plugins and checking any custom templates in your theme for the Events Calendar.

I deactivated plugins and it went away.

Glad you found the source. I think it is ok to post it here.

It looks like it is coming from this plugin:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/facebook/

However, I could not find it directly in the coding on WordPress.org it is possible it is vulnerable and someone is using that to add this SPAM coding.

When I turn off the Official Facebook social plugin, Version 1.5.5, the SPAM goes away. I am not sure why that is happening, but I am deleting the plug-in and looking for something still under development.

I greatly appreciate your help. This calendar has been a huge asset to our comedy club.
