ParticipantHello,
I’m using the custom solution found in your Knowledge Base title Add start time to event title in Month View. When accessing a specific month view using a direct permalink (…/calendar/2017-11) the events sort by time as expected with the earliest event at the top of the day, the latest at the bottom.
The issue is using the ‘next month link’ on the main calendar. When using those links to advance to different months, the events are sorted all out of order based on time.
I searched around and hadn’t seen this reported, or seen a fix.
Please advise if anyone has ideas. Thanks so much.

KeymasterHi Adam,
Thanks for going Pro and welcome to the forums!
Let me try to help you with this one.
I checked the snippet you mentioned. On my test site I see no difference in the order of the events from one month to the other with or without the snippet. The order always stays the same.
Also, there is no code in place there which would alter the order of the events in month view.
Can you maybe share a screenshot or a url where this can be seen and explain in a bit more detail?
Thanks,

ParticipantI’ve deactivated the Post Types Order plugin and the calendar is now behaving as expected. I apologize for not fully testing that before posting here. I did try deactivating plug ins first, but I may have neglected to clear the site cache before testing.
Thank you for the suggestion. I’ll just have to work around not using the Post Types Order plugin once we get into production. Unless you have any other work around suggestions?

KeymasterHi Adam,
Thanks for checking and letting me know. I’m happy that we found the source of this glitch.
(No hard feelings, I also forget to empty the cache plenty of times. 😉 )
Workaround suggestions:
- a different plugin instead of post types order
- a snippet for PTO so that it doesn’t take the ‘tribe_events’ post types into account
Hope this helps at least a bit.
Since this is resolved I am going to close this ticket, but if you need anything else related to this topic or another please create a new ticket and we’ll be happy to help.
Cheers,
