ParticipantHi! I’m enjoying the plugin, but two of its limitations are clashing with each other, and they’re creating a miserable situation for me.
i’m trying to input swim times for a local pool. The times are a bit haphazard. Family swims are Mon-Fri from 9-10, and again at 12-2 (except on Wednedsays), and again at 7-8, and then on Saturdays from 11-1 and Sundays from 2-4. It’s all over the place.
Limitation #1 is that Events Calendar PRO does not support multiple time windows for a recurring event. That means that for every new window, i have to create a completely different recurring event.
So i downloaded an event duplication plugin that someone suggested plays nicely with ECPRO.
Limitation #2 is that when Events are created, there is no creation date. So if i publish Family Swim 9-10, i want to jut click “Events” and duplicate that event and change the time to 12-2. But i can’t. The event that i just published 5 seconds ago is buried very deep, because events can only be temporally ordered by start date and end date. It’s quite frustrating.
i can search for the Family Swim event, but because it’s recurring, i get a LOT of results, and the 9-10 Family Swim looks identical to the 12-2 Family Swim because the title often gets cut off in my view. It makes this task extremely onerous. There are 4 or 5 pools in my city, each with similarly complicated schedules that refresh every couple of months. i want to make this as painless as possible.
What’s a more reasonable feature request: multiple time windows for an Event, or creation dates for Events? And are either of them likely to happen any time soon? How much trouble will i get into if i try to modify the code myself to store those creation dates?

MemberHi Ryan. Thanks for your clear communication on these topics.
I’ve logged an internal bug/feature request with our developers to be able to filter and/or sort by date post created. However, I do not see this as easily possible in wp-admin’s Events List view.
I would suggest installing our Advanced Post Manager plugin to see if you can find events more easily by sorting by actual event dates (not wp-admin post created date).
Regarding duplicating events: I couldn’t tell if it worked for you or not, but we do not have any such plugins that we officially recommend.

MemberHi there,
I just wanted to pop in here and give you an update. While we weren’t able to get this feature into our upcoming 4.2 release, it is still on our list of ideas to implement in future releases.
We appreciate your patience, and we will be sure to update this thread when we have more news. Thank you for your continued support, and keep an eye out for version 4.2 coming in the next few weeks!
Best,
Leah
