I have had a few orders show up that they were completed but when I check PayPal the payment never went through.
Also, some of the orders were coming in twice…(this might have been the person clicked submit twice or hit back??)
The main issue is me seeing a completed order when in fact they payment never went through.
What are you suggestions on why this might be happening and how to fix.

You have some IPN issues which are issues related to how PayPal connects to your site. These issues are unfortunately not something related to our plugins.
I would recommend the following things:
1. Update all of our plugins to their latest versions. You can see the latest versions to update to at theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads
2. Contact the WooCommerce support team about why orders are marked “complete” without payments that are finishing correctly. They may be able to help shed light on the IPN issues.

Thank you for the info. I did not think to contact WooCommerce as they are
handling checkout. I have submitted a ticket with them.If I am never going to sell products…only tickets, do you think

Thanks for reaching out to the WooCommerce team — I hope that dialogue goes well.
In regards to WooCommerce vs. EDD, it’s truly a matter of personal preference! I’m sorry of this is not helpful, but it’s just so hard to say one is “better” than the other — both are excellently-made, well-maintained, with great support teams and lots of great “extensions” and stuff. So it’s really a matter of your personal taste and preference.
