ParticipantI’m having problems with some words not getting translated according to my swedish PO-file. The translation ignore these for some reason. Any idea why?

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues. I can help troubleshoot this with you.
Do you have a link where this is happening so I can take a look?
Also what is your theme you are using and do you have any Event Calendar Customizations.
Thanks

ParticipantHi!
Thanks for attending Brian. Here’s a link to my month view: http://kk.macework.se/kalender/2015-05/
I’m using my own customized theme, and yes I have some Event Calendar customizations, but mostly pure visual by CSS.
I’m also using the Category Colors-plugin.April 17, 2015 at 12:22 pm #956377Brian
MemberI looked up all those fields and they all can be translated.
Also, do you have any customizations in this folder of your theme
/tribe-events/
For the month view?
Translation
I tested the first and the last translation highlighted in your image and they worked for me.For some reason the Find Out More is not translating. That could be because it is created by javascript.
I will look into that some more.
It maybe there is a glitch in po file causing the problem, if you change to another non english language do those words translate?

ParticipantI tried changing the language to french, and in that case all words translated properly. But back to swedish and the words still won’t translate. I even tried with a whole new PO-file but no luck there.

MemberIs that a new Swedish translation you created or did you start again with the one that ships with the Events Calendar?
We rely on the community for our translations for now we have no way of fixing a broken file unless provided to us unfortunately.

ParticipantNo, I started over with the original one from the plugin.

MemberIt appears there is something wrong with the Swedish translation.
The translation file might have to be completely started again to resolve the issue in it, which can happen with po files.
Unfortunately, we reply on the community for the translation so we are not able to fix this.
Here is what I see in the Spanish Translation:

Here is what I see in the Swedish:

The only thing that is not working correctly is the “Find out more” in both, which I will be putting in a bug report to resolve.

ParticipantYes, this is exactly the problem as I experience it. No matter what changes I make to the PO-file, the translation won’t go through.
In addition to “Find out more” the words “Month’s events” in the blue iCAL button won’t translate. They should say “månadens event”.
I hope you will be able to resolve this as soon as possible. Meanwhile I guess I will try to override it somehow.

MemberThe iCal button is translating in Spanish so it looks again to be problem with the translation file.
To fix the issue we would nee a community member to provide a new translation we do not have a not have a translation service available to fix this issues. Although we are exploring Glotpress to make it translating easier.
I have created a ticket to resolve the “Find out more” issue. We will update this ticket when we have a released fix.
For now I am going to close this ticket as there is nothing more we can do here, but if you have any other issues related to this or something new, please create a new one.
Thanks

MemberHi there,
Thanks again for your post. We wanted to get in touch and let you know that although we weren’t able to address this issue in our upcoming 3.10 release, it is still very much a priority. We have a ticket in our system and will be investigating a solution to be released in a future version. Thank you for your patience and support while we work on this!
Cheers,
