    Hi

I have a little course platform that sells tickets to courses online. I am looking for a new solution to solve this. Maybe The Events Calendar and Event Tickets could do the job.

I have been switching tools for this and therefor would like to find a final solution that I can stick with. Maybe you can help me.

    What I am looking for:
    – Courses (events) that can be signed up for (paid online with Stripe and bank transfer)
    – Some courses have multiple dates (for example 4x on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons)
    – Book courses without having to sign up (possibly also offering the feature to optionally sign up)
    – Display and filter courses by categories
    – minimum attendees number per course
    – maximum attendees number per course
    – coupon codes per course
    – set course to ‘green’ (course will happen) when there are enough attendees

    Nice to have
    – show how many seats are left
    – automated email (per course) 1 day after last course day
    – PDF invoice
    – reminder email 7 days before course
    – send payment reminder for attendees using bank transfer
    – send custom email to all attendees of a course
    – waiting list for full courses

Do you think this plugin would be a good fit?

    Hey Arto,

Thanks for considering our software for the job! I took a look through each of your items; the combination of The Events Calendar, Event Tickets, Event Tickets Plus, and WooCommerce would achieve many of the items you listed.

However, unfortunately, these are all the items I picked out that are not currently built-in to the plugins. You could write custom code to enable these features if you are programming-savvy, or hire a programmer to build these features for you, but they are not default parts of our plugins and are not things that we could build ourselves:

    – Book courses without having to sign up (possibly also offering the feature to optionally sign up)
    – minimum attendees number per course
    – set course to ‘green’ (course will happen) when there are enough attendees
    – automated email (per course) 1 day after last course day
    – PDF invoice
    – reminder email 7 days before course
    – send payment reminder for attendees using bank transfer
    – waiting list for full courses

Sorry to disappoint about these items! I hope this information helps though 🙂

    Cheers,
    George

    Hi George

    Thanks for your reply.

    – Book courses without having to sign up (possibly also offering the feature to optionally sign up)

Here I mean guest checkout. Isn’t that available?
In the table I see “guest checkout”:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/tickets/?utm_campaign=wpshindig

I am a bit mixed up because of the plugin names:
    – Event Tickets
    – Event Tickets Plus
    – Events Calendar Tickets

    Can you clarify?

    Kind regards,
    Arto Steiner

    Hi George

I have another question to add to my last reply (see also my last reply).

    – Some courses have multiple dates (for example 4x on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons)

Do you understand what I mean here?

    Example:
I am offering an HTML course that consists of 4 parts spread over 2 weeks (Tue, Thu, Tue, Thu). People should be able to sign up for the whole course.

Also, will the calendar export contain those 4 appointments?

I don’t see this in the demo.

    Kind regards,
    Arto Steiner

    Hi,

I also need the same what Arto Steiner wrote.

So ist there a possibility to program the missing plug ins?
I also need to know if it is possible to set a overview with all different courses. And if you click on course there should be all dates shown for this course. Is that possible?

    best regards,
    rené

YES you can sell one ticket for the first event that grants access to the whole course, and then just not sell tickets on the last three events. Other than this setup however, there are no other special “course”-style features within the plugins.

I am a bit mixed up because of the plugin names:
    – Event Tickets
    – Event Tickets Plus
    – Events Calendar Tickets

    Can you clarify?

Yes – there is no plugin called Events Calendar Tickets.
The Events Calendar is the free “core” plugin available on WordPress.org. Everything else sold here on this site, http://theeventscalendar.com, is an add-on to that Core plugin.

Event Tickets is another free core plugin. You can use it without The Events Calendar. But most people use both of them together.

Event Tickets Plus is a premium add-on for Event Tickets. Think of it as a replacement for our old add-ons like “WooCommerce Tickets”, “EDD Tickets”, “WP E-Commerce Tickets”, etc. – they are all now just one plugin. You can read more about Event Tickets Plus here → https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/

Also, will the calendar export contain those 4 appointments?

YES – Exports of events contain all events.

So ist there a possibility to program the missing plug ins?

Rene, I am not sure what this means, but if you are asking about custom coding, YES, you can do that if you would like, but NO, we do not offer any help with custom coding and cannot build features on request.

I also need to know if it is possible to set a overview with all different courses. And if you click on course there should be all dates shown for this course. Is that possible?

YES – again, this would be possible to build with custom code, but there is not something built into the plugin that does this.

One thing to remember, folks, is that we have a no-questions-asked refund policy as long as you request that refund within 30 days of your purchase.

So, this acts as like a four-week “trial” period with our plugins before you commit to them long-term. Try out any plugins you are interested first-hand, and then seek a refund if you do not like them or they do not meet your project needs. Just sharing this…it might help! 😀

    Cheers,
    George
