Slow Load Time for event info

I’ve noticed that for the last couple of months (haven’t had time to make contact until now) on my live website, when on the calendar page for a specific day, if you click “Find out more” about any of the events, it is a VERY slow load time to get to the next screen with the info/details about the event. (Almost 30 seconds!!) This is much slower than it used to be and I’m concerned that my viewers will not want to wait this long and may stop viewing my website. Please advise what may be causing this/what could be done about this.

I checked the site and indeed, for the details to show up the first time sometimes took 10-15 seconds or more. A bit curious. Thing. Personally I’m sitting in Europe but it still should be faster.

I checked your site on GTmetrix.com and the results are pretty much ok.

There are 2 things I can recommend for you to check:

1. Switch to a default theme like twentysixteen and after clearing your browser cache (Ctrl + Shift + Del) check if they still load that slow. If they are faster, then there is something with the theme. If it is still similarly slow, then we can start digging deeper.

If it is still slow, then please run a test for conflicts based on this guide. This can help us eliminate any misbehaving plugins.

2. You could potentially use a caching plugin like W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache or WP Rocket. Or something like that.
