    This site has the Event Calendar plug in but we want to upgrade to Event Calendar Pro. This is in WP version 4.4 and we can’t downgrade it. Is there any chance it will work? We mostly need the recurring events function.

    Hi,

    Thanks for using our plugins. I can help out here.

    The core version of the Events Calendar found for free on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/ is required for all our plugins including Pro.

    So if you like to use Pro you just add it to your site.

    The latest for Core is 4.0.5 and Pro’s latest is 4.0.4 and those along with the rest of our plugins are fully compatible with WordPress 4.4
