    Hello,

We had a major disaster occur after your product updates. For some odd reason one of your plugins blew up our website with whatever it added to our database. I hadn’t noticed immediately because Chrome was running from a browser cache. The updates completely disabled the theming engine so that only the page body content was visible. We use a Rockettheme which uses also runs Gantry 4 Framework. I had to back out of your latest updates and am now back to running:
    Event Tickets 4.5.7
    Event Tickets Plus 4.5.6
    The Events Calendar 4.6.3
    The Events Calendar Pro 4.4.19
    With WooCommerce 3.2.3
    And Gantry Framework 4.1.14

Do you know how I can upgrade without having everything fall apart like it did? The only repair that we could do was to install a backup of our database.

Please see https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/after-upgrade-all-pre-existing-ticket-options-are-mia-all-pricing-ioptions-mia/ for beginning of thread issue.

    Thank you.

Doing more research it appears that I may not have been the only one.

Update multi-site install now brings server down with high SQL load

    Hi Clay!

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

I’m sorry you experienced that with the latest updates. Let me help you troubleshoot that.

It’s good you could roll back to a previous version of our plugins to solve the issue.

We always suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can test things out and make all plugins, theme and WordPress core updates without disrupting the live site.

For some odd reason one of your plugins blew up our website with whatever it added to our database

Could you please tell us more about this issue? What did you exactly experience when updating the plugins?

I’d recommend you setup a staging site and enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG. This will create a debug.log file inside the /wp-content directory.

After that, try updating the plugins, so that in case there is an error, it will be saved into the debug.log file. Please share that log file with us so we can see if any problem from there.

Please let us know about that.

    Thanks,
    Victor

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
