ParticipantHi,
First of all, you’ve done a terrific job with this Plugin. I’ve just installed the PRO-Version and it’s awesome!
What I’m really unhappy with is the Single-Venue Page. I tried to customize the appearance with the single-venue.php, but having no idea of coding, I messed it up and had to change it back. I read the documentation on theming and overriding.
Here is what I wanted to do. (My Site: http://albanarbeit.ch/ort/pauluskirche-basel/) I’d love to have a little picture of the venue on top of the meta-information (Address, Details, and so on) but without any indicator such as (Anschrift: or Details:). And if that’s possible, I’d love to have the height of the map dynamic and adjusted to the height of the post (from topline to the bottomline with a margin as now to the topline).
I’ve no idea of programming other than copying code into files, can you help me? Thanks in advance!
Thank you in advance!
P.S.
It’s just a detail but have you noticed that there are a lot of english menue-items and descriptions in the german version. Not a real problem but it would be nice if the whole page was translated.February 9, 2013 at 5:51 am #32373Barry
MemberHi Samuel,
Unfortunately, I think you might have to go it alone on this one as what you’re asking about is fairly custom.

I’m not sure on how you intend to specify which image should be used here? You might either need to add a featured images capability to the venue post type or else devise a different system first of all.
I’d love to have the height of the map dynamic and adjusted to the height of the post (from topline to the bottomline with a margin as now to the topline).
I’ve no doubt that’s possible but I’m afraid it’s way beyond the scope of support that we can provide and would likely only play nicely with your theme and nobody else’s.

It may be that the translation is incomplete.
We do rely on the community for translations, so if you know how .mo and .po files work and are confident with gettext, please feel free to submit a new translation to us at [email protected].
So again, I’m not sure if there’s much we can do to help on this occasion but I’d be happy to hear back from you if I’ve misunderstood anything or if you already have most of the solution and just need a prod in the right direction.
Thanks!

ParticipantWell, thank you for your help. I agree it’s custom coding and will therefore find an other way…
I’d be glad to help with translations but I’ve no idea about these .mo and .po files. Do you have documentation about that?

MemberI don’t think we’ve got much if any documentation on that – simply because it’s not a process that is specific to our plugin. There are some great docs out there that can provide some insight though:
