Single Event Page Layout Issues

How can I go about about changing the order of different layout items for a single events calendar page?

For instance:

I don’t want the featured image to display in the individual event post, or I want it to display much smaller than it currently it.

I don’t want the individual user that posted the event to appear on a single event page.

I want that event data to appear above the description.

I would like to change the font color in the main events page, and single event page.

I am not a very experienced web designer, so as much specific help as possible will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Charlie. Thanks for asking about customizing your events pages.

This is totally doable provided you’re comfortable digging into the code of our templates. For detailed instructions on how to create template overrides, please check out our Themer’s Guide for The Events Calendar, linked at right. The Technical Documentation, also linked in the sidebar, may prove useful as well.

Beyond that, crafting specific customizations is, unfortunately, outside the scope of the support we can provide here. We are always happy to help keep you pointed in the right direction! 🙂
