ParticipantOn this event:
http://newschoolofyoga.org/event/awakening-a-meditative-mind/
The sidebar is displaying below the event content instead of to the right. Can not see any css causing this.
Any one with insight?

MemberHi Michael.
Thanks for the link; it really helps.
I doubt this is Avada’s default styling so I’d suggest requesting support from them.
I suspect http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15172520/advantages-of-using-displayinline-block-vs-floatleft-in-css may be a relevant article for your situation, since your site uses float: left;
Please let me know what you find out.
Thanks.

ParticipantHi Michael
I had a similar problem which in my case was down to odd ‘invisible’ characters which had been pasted into an event entry. When the event was re-created from scratch it was fine.

ParticipantAh, thanks Ian — I will check that out. If I copy and paste everything into TextWrangler, I think I should be able to see if there are some invisible odd characters.

ParticipantI have had problems with ‘curly quotes’ before now, but never found the ‘invisible’ causing the problem in my case. If this does seem to be the cause of your difficulties, and you are able to spot anything do post back.

ParticipantI tried a few things, including copying the text into TextWrangler and using it to remove any hidden characters using their “zap gremlins” feature. I found one invisible non-breaking space character, but that wasn’t the issue. Sidebar still got dropped to below event content.
I then tried switching to the Visual editor in WordPress and then back to the Text editor. That removed a <style> section that I had in the html body to style a PayPal form. Then the sidebar displayed correctly. When I copied and pasted the <style> section back in using the Text editor, sidebar still displayed as it should.
So, I don’t know what was breaking the sidebar. But, if you are having this issue, try switching to the Visual editor and then back to the text editor.
