Showing venues on map when no events are scheduled

Hi,

We are wanting to use Events Calendar Pro as both a calendar and a way to display the location of various organisations that may not run events as such.

We think we can set up these organisations as “Venues” so they have a defined location but we’re wondering if venues can be displayed on the map even if there are no events scheduled at that venue?

Alternatively, if an event is required to enable the venue to display on the map, could a type of recurring event be created that represents the opening hours of the organisation? We would want to hide this type of event from the calendar view to avoid screen clutter.

Hi,

Thanks for the interest in our plugins.

I can help out here.

The Map View shows the Events in the list below it on the map so it does not have a way to show venues without events.

For your work around I do not think that would work as you need the events in the list below it to show in the map. So if you removed them it would not show.

You might be able to hide those events with css, but you would want to increase the amount of events shown per page to get them all in.
