Showing current week only in calendar mode + time format

Hey all,
Great plug-in. Purchased the Pro version today!

I have the main calendar view active on the /events url.

I was wondering if it was possible to just display the current week (Mon to Sun), rather than the whole current month? With the ability to click left or right arrows to go to the ‘previous’ and ‘next’ weeks events?

Reason being that I have up to 6 events per day, 7 days a week, every week, so the calendar looks way too busy with the whole month on display. A weekly view would be perfect.

Also I have added the events start and end time to the calendar, underneath the event name. Is it possible to format the start time to just say ‘6:00’ instead of ‘6:00 pm’?

I am currently using:

$start_time = tribe_get_start_date( $post->ID, true, ‘ ‘ );

The first thing I’d suggest is that you check out our Documentation page, to see if any of the stuff we’ve tracked there can point you in the right direction. It’s available at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation.

We will eventually be adding an officially supported “Week View” (to serve as a middle ground between the single day & month view) but that won’t be until the 2.1 lifecycle.

On the start time: I suspect the template tag documentation may point you in the right direction here, but if not check out what WordPress’ codex notes about date/time formatting (http://codex.wordpress.org/Formatting_Date_and_Time).

I have had a look in the documentation, but still unsure how to display just the current week. Could you point me in the right direction please?

Ah, a single week view – not sure whether this will be possible until the official support for it is introduced during 2.1, but let me see if our dev Jonah is aware of any ways to hack it together in the interim. No guarantees but I’ll get him to respond with what he can today.

Hi Craig, this would be a fairly difficult hack and not something we can offer a solution on. You’ll need to either have it custom developed for you or wait for the feature from us. Good luck and I hope you can work something out!
