Dear TECPRO,
In a recent topic, Hunter showed me how to edit the functions.php in order to showcase ALL events on the events landing page
see topic and code here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/show-all-events-in-the-events-page/
All seem to work well, but still NOT showing ALL events (and sometimes shows more events on iPad than on desktop)
Example:
this page: http://79.170.44.126/ref-spainculturescience.co.uk/events/
does not show this December event: http://79.170.44.126/ref-spainculturescience.co.uk/event/concha-buika-london/
Im trying to understand the logic of current and future events and how TEC works
BTW: the number of events to show on Events page is set up to a high number, so that’s not the reason
Many thanks as usual

This would definitely be a customization outside our Scope of Support / Terms.
If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.

The question was about how TECPRO system understands current events and future events (in Photo View); what period of time makes an event a future event?
thanks again
November 4, 2016 at 9:33 am #1187759CliffMemberBasically, if the event’s end datetime is greater than (not equal to) the current time, it is not a past event.
For further details, I’ll refer you to our tribe_is_past_event() function — github code at https://github.com/moderntribe/the-events-calendar/blob/4.3.2/src/functions/template-tags/general.php#L290-L315

I’ll close this ticket now, I appreciate it may be issues that deserve most urgency and I don’t want to waste your time
I was asking CURRENT and FUTURE
Obviously, if an event has not finished is not PAST
But that wasn’t the question

let’s stop here
PAST, CURRENT, FUTURE, that sounds very English to me
is ok
November 4, 2016 at 4:32 pm #1188016CliffMemberFor sure; no offense intended. Sometimes users appreciate being able to write in other languages if we’re not seeming to be on the same page.
We’ll close this thread; sorry I couldn’t be more help here.
Feel free to open a new thread if you feel the need to in the future.
