Showing a List of Calendar Events – with Descriptions

Hi,

Is it possible to use a shortcode or some code to display a list of calendar entries that include the description? (Almost in a blog type format?)

Is it also possible to filter this to certain categories for different sections of our site?

Nothing that’s currently built-in, I’m afraid. You could roll your own solution or possibly use/expand upon the work of third party plugins like this one, though … and of course we always welcome feature requests 🙂

Or display a list from a certain category

It certainly is possible to link directly to them. Just grab the relevant link, which might take the form of the following example, and use it wherever you please:

http://wpshindig.com/events/category/wordcamps/

You could use this in other posts, as a custom nav link or wherever you feel is suitable 🙂
