Show Upcoming Event on my Home page

I’d like to be able to show the next upcoming event on my home page. Ordinarily, I would think to do this with a shortcode. Since “The Events Calendar” does not have shortcodes, is there a way to do this?

Where there’s a will, there’s a way I say. With some tinkering, it is possible to show events data on a page other than the default, for instance at the bottom of your home page. You can check out our documentation at http://docs.tri.be/. And I believe others may have tried to do something like this too. Did you try searching the forum to see what worked for them?
