Show only first event instance, still showing huge list (after event created)

Hi there,

I already created a recurring event and i just found out about the setting “recurring event instances” and checked that box so it will only show one event in the list view. However, still getting all instances shown. Does this not work retroactively? So only a new recurring event created will show only the first? Or is there something I’m missing?

Thanks for using our plugins. I can help out here.

I looked at your site and not seeing multiple instances of a recurring event.

I see two recurring events on the 7th, but they are two different events so it should show both of them.

Is there another event doing this?

Hm, maybe we are talking about two different things. I thought the setting was for Admin view so the admin setting up events could hide all the recurring events and leave only the single event that needs edited. See screenshot.

Hi,

That setting is only on the front end and not the backend.

You can use the Advanced Post Manager Plugin:

Advanced Post Manager

There you can create a filter to hide recurring events.

Ah ok. Thank you. Seems like an interesting way to do recurring events but if that’s how it works then we’ll go with it.
