GuestHello, I want to show events in many different ways, and not just only the full calendar view.
I need a custom view in home page, I want to fetch event information for using in a slider, widget, footer, etc.Does the Events Calendar PRO plugin do this?
Does the Events Calendar Shortcode PRO do this? There’s a way to fetch only Events Title, or Featured Image, or Starting Date (for example) ?
Thank you

KeymasterHello jd,
Thanks for reaching out to us with your questions! I’d be happy to answer them for you.
Our Events Calendar PRO plugins supports the use of a multitude of shortcodes. You can insert any calendar view into any page, or even any event with selected data anywhere.
The following 3 posts will give you all the details that you can do with the different shortcodes:
Events Calendar PRO Widget Shortcodes Overview
Embedding Calendar Views with the [tribe_events] Shortcode
Embedding Single Events with the [tribe_event_inline] Shortcode
With the use of the last one you will be able to fetch only Events Title, or Featured Image, or Starting Date for example. 😉
Please note that Events Calendar Shortcode and its PRO version are not developed nor maintained by us, and thus we don’t provide support for it. (It’s a great plugin nonetheless.)
I hope this answers your questions. If you have any more, let them come, I’m happy to answer them for you.
Cheers,

GuestOk, thank you.
Few more questions (and suggestion if I may).Since Events Calendar Shortcode Plugin is not developed by you I believe that your plugin is customizable by a developer. Can I create my own shortcodes without Shortcode plugin “easily”?
I’m asking you this just because we need an hard customization, and I don’t want to work on 2 different plugin.Suggestions:
I think you should make many demo screenshots to show how an event can be displayed on a website.Thank you, I’m gonna buy you plugin anyway.

What this “Shortcodes” feature means in your PRO plugin description?
Thanks

KeymasterHello again jd,
I’m happy to answer your questions.
Thank you for suggestion, I will share it with the appropriate people.
I believe that your plugin is customizable by a developer.
Yes, our plugin is customizable, however it is recommended to rather do it via extensions or snippets in your functions.php file, and not to modify core files. Core file modifications will be lost after a plugin update.
Can I create my own shortcodes without Shortcode plugin “easily”?
I guess that depends on what functionality you want with those shortcodes. But it’s not rocket science, proof of that is the Events Calendar Shortcode Plugin. 🙂
What this “Shortcodes” feature means in your PRO plugin description?
That shortcodes feature is what you can read about in the 2nd and 3rd article I shared with you in my previous post.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Cheers,
