Show events by state/province in sidebar

Hi,
I need to show events lists for all states/provinces each in single states/provinces sidebars.
pw: Oevrg1!*

To clarify what I mean, I have the following states/provinces in venues on my site:
– Niederösterreich
– Oberösterreich
– Burgenland
– Steiermark
– Salzburg
– Kärnten
– Tirol
– Vorarlberg

All of them are having their own events.
All of them are having their own wordpress pages as well where the members are introduced. In the sidebar of each page should be shown an event list (of upcoming and past events) for the particular state/province: Event name, Event category, date, time and city – linked to the single event description.

How can I realize this?

I see you have Filter Bar. You can add State/Province as an option there, like this.

Hi Cliff,
thank you for your fast reply. The thing is that as far as I see the filter bar only offers the range of all states/provinces and the user still has to choose.
What I need is that for the “Niederösterreich” page the “Niederösterreich” event list is shown in the sidebar automatically, and in the “Tirol” page the “Tirol” event list, etc.
Can I realize this by using the filter bar?

The Filter Bar “exposes” these links (i.e. makes them easy for you to find).

Then you can copy these links and manually create your own WordPress Menu with all these links that you want to showcase as “Events by State” or however you want to word that.

Hi Cliff, thank you! I had tried this solution in the past already. The problem is that it works with the IDs of the venues themselves. As soon as there is a new venue created, its ID of course is not automatically added to the static link.
Moreover I need the event lists (of upcoming and past events) for each state/province within the sidebars of their particular wordpress pages showing: Event name, Event category, date, time and city – linked to the single event description.
How could it be possible?

Ah, I see what you mean. Great observation.

As an example: http://zbr3h.w4yserver.at/events/list/?tribe_state%5B%5D=147,180 is really listing just the events that have “Vienna” as the Venue’s state — and that link wouldn’t get updated as new events assigned to “Vienna” venues get created…

I have created an internal feature request to make Filter Bar’s URLs dynamic instead of specific Event Post IDs.

Unfortunately, I can’t suggest if or when it’d be implemented.

However, you might be able to accomplish what you’re wanting by creating a custom view. Please reference these for more info:

• Understanding and customizing the Tribe Events Bar
• Custom Event Queries
• Using tribe_get_events

If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.

A more manual alternative would be to use Event Categories (essentially doubling your data entry for each Venue’s state).

Please note that you should change your password (in your initial post, above) for security reasons.
